Με ένα μολύβιποίημα
Το σούρουπο απαλό αχνοσβήνει το φως το ποτήρι τρέμει στο χέρι
κόκκινο κρασί πηγαινοέρχεται ακατάστατα μέσα στο γυάλινο περίβλημα.
Μολύβι στο άλλο χέρι ακουμπά στο άσπρο χαρτί.
Προτιμούσαν οι εξόριστοι το μολύβι, στη βροχή
αντέχει καλύτερα το γραμμένο κείμενο.
Σιγά σιγά τα φώτα άναβαν, πρόσθεταν λίγο λίγο χαρά και φως ακαταμάχητο
στη εικόνα του νου την παρένθεση της ηρεμία,
λαμπρή έκρηξη του μέλλοντος, στα σκαλιά της άπιστης αγάπης.
Καθισμένος στην αναπαυτική καρέκλα σκυμμένος στο πληκτρολόγιο αναπολώ την ενέργεια που έστελναν τα μάτια, τα μαύρα μάτια του έρωτα που αξιολόγησε την ήτα.
Την απελπισία που κυματίζεται στου κρασιού τη θάλασσα και ναυαγεί στο ποτήρι μεσοπέλαγα.
Κοιτώντας το χρόνο τα βήματα τα περιοδικά σήματα που στέλνουν τα αηδόνια.
Σιγοβράζουν ενώσεις άνθρακα κι ονείρων κι ο χρόνος βλασταίνει τα ροδοπέταλα.
Αχνά μυρίζουν νέα αρώματα αποκαθαίροντας τη μαύρη στάχτη.
Καθρέπτες είδωλα παράγουν στα μάτια και το νου.
With a Pencil
A Poem
Twilight softly fades the light; the glass trembles in my hand—
red wine sloshes erratically within its glass vessel.
A pencil in the other hand rests upon the white paper.
Exiles preferred the pencil; in the rain,
the written text holds up better.
Slowly, the lights came on, adding—bit by bit—joy and irresistible light
to the mind’s image, that parenthesis of calm,
a brilliant explosion of the future upon the steps of faithless love.
Seated in the comfortable chair, hunched over the keyboard, I recall the energy
radiating from those eyes—the dark eyes of a love that weighed the defeat.
The despair that ripples across the sea of wine,
only to shipwreck in the glass, far from shore.
Watching time, the footsteps, the rhythmic signals sent by nightingales.
Compounds of carbon and dreams simmer slowly, and time sprouts rose petals.
New scents drift faintly, clearing away the black ash.
Mirrors cast reflections in the eyes and the mind.
